CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER FREIGHT FORWARDING [United Arab Emirates]


 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service Executive to join our freight forwarding company. As a Customer Service Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of customer service for our clients, specifically focusing on sea freight, air freight, and land transport operations. You will be the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient handling of their freight requirements.

Responsibilities:

Client Communication and Coordination:Serve as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their freight forwarding needs and providing timely assistance.
Coordinate with shipping lines, airline companies, and land transport companies to ensure the smooth execution of freight operations.
Liaise with internal teams to gather and communicate necessary information to clients regarding shipment status, customs documentation, and any operational changes.

Freight Management:Handle the complete freight forwarding process, including quotation requests, documentation, and shipment tracking.
Obtain and negotiate competitive quotes from shipping lines, airline companies, and land transport providers.
Prepare accurate and detailed quotations for clients based on their specific requirements.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery, providing regular updates to clients and resolving any operational issues that may arise.

Customer Service Excellence:Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing any concerns or inquiries.
Offer professional advice and guidance to clients regarding shipping options, transit times, customs regulations, and other related matters.
Anticipate and proactively communicate any potential delays or changes in shipping schedules to clients, providing alternative solutions when necessary.

Documentation and Compliance:Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all shipments, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with clients to collect and verify necessary shipping and customs documentation.
Stay updated on industry regulations, customs procedures, and international trade policies to ensure compliance and minimize disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience ( 1-2years) in customer service roles within the freight forwarding industry, specifically handling sea freight, air freight, and land transport operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of shipping lines, airline companies, and land transport providers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and negotiate effectively with service providers.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in relevant software systems and tools, such as freight management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations, international trade policies, and Incoterms.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Salary: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
